Ryan Massel — known across Calgary as Mr. Fabulous — opens Season One of Chic of the Closet with a story about leaving a small Saskatchewan town, dropping out of broadcast journalism school, and building a career entirely on his own voice.

Ryan is a Calgary-based content creator, on-air personality, and founder of the award-winning lifestyle platform ImMrFabulous.com. He's a regular face on Breakfast Television, CTV Morning Live, and Global Weekend, and has been quoted in the New York Times.

In this episode, Ryan talks about choosing personality over credentials, the moment he realized he wanted to "just be his own voice," and what it means to use that voice for his community — including a hate crime he experienced during Pride Month, and how his chosen family showed up for him.
